"The Dog that Changed Everything" by Riley

The Dog That Changed Everything
By Riley

For St. Lewis falling never hurt so badly, it hurt but he kept on going. He ran to the top and made it with a thud. Clark, St. Lewis’ owner, came and said “Where have you been”. The next day went slow and ended bad. St. Lewis went to his brothers’ dog house. My brother’s house like mine go’s down ten miles. I put a surprise letter on the table and started to run. I heard a low moan as planned. I new what was going to happen next, I heard a howl and rustling feet. I heard the rooster from down the street crow and figured out what time it must have been. I crawled slowly to the house. I got my breakfast in the kitchen.” I believe that you got scared last night” I told Steve when we were at the table. “Ha” Steve said. I went to take a small nap. I came to the kitchen after the nap and found Clark on the floor drooling blood. I got the parents and they called 911. I heard the ambulance in the distance and jumped sky high as fast as I could and got their attention. They followed my bark to the house and got Clark on a stretcher while I jumped on the stretcher and was taken to the hospital. I waited for Clark to wake up but he slumped on the stretcher silently. I licked his face and found out that the licking was a miracle in its own way. Clark woke and asked” Where am I?” The paramedics were shocked at first but said” It’s a miracle!”
Clark asked” What’s a miracle?!”
Everyone especially Clark was ambitious to get back to the house, but did not know what would happen next. The back doors flew open and both Clark and I fell out on the stretcher. I saw what was happening and jumped into action. I jumped off and bit the back end though my legs hurt. The stretcher rolled to a stop and we ran half a mile home. They took me to the vet and as I died my brother for the first time and the last time he was sad for me. I was given medicine to get me to health but none of it worked. I took my last breath and lay on the ground, dead. I had my funeral a week later in the backyard. Everyone in the family was not as happy as the last few weeks and hoped I would have a good life in heaven. Sadly this story ends.

  1. I liked how you zoomed in at one part when Clark was on the stretcher and it made me feel like I was right there.

How did Clark get hurt? Did Clark die of the thing that happen or something else?

You could also tell who the people where in the story.
